WHITNEY HOUSTON TODAY?

As you know, Whitney Houston passed yesterday. I'm sure there will be tons of tributes on local radio today. Oh wait...I forgot...it's Sunday...everybody on today voice-tracked three weeks ago. Never mind. :-\

Shadoe Steele did a very nice tribute last night on Saturday Night Live at the Oldies on WILK.

I also heard some tunes on Magic today.

Shadoe Steele is a rarity today...live on Saturday night.

This is my first time posting on this board but I usually check it out once or twice a week. There is another show live on Saturday night. I host "Decades" on 105 The River. I have been doing the show for about 7 years starting it on KRZ. I got bumped because they could not afford the $40 a week before taxes and replaced me with a syndicated 80s show instead. I play the 80s and 90s and even new music from artists of those decades. I got to say being let go by KRZ was the best thing that ever happen. I now work for a station that does not believe in voice tracking but loves the live DJ.

The downside is being on display at the Casino while you are trying to do your show! Thanks for the chance to post, and by the way I to did a tribute to Whitney Houston on Saturday night.

Aw come on. You're a star! People love that.
WBRE radio used to have their studios in a glass suite on the first floor of the Hotel Sterling in the 1960s. I was always intrigued at what I saw.
