Whitney Huston on BEN-FM, Now we are talking.........

Ok, I listen to ben as it is one of my pre-sets in the car. On Monday between 1-2am BEN sounded awesome. It was all 90s. I am 29 yo and I love the 90s 70s 80s and a slice of today. It has been in the past that Mix 106.1 was the station I have been listening to but if they keep playing too much CHR, new music, forgetting the 90s and sound like Q102 I am gone. we need artists like Whitney, Counting crows, peter gabriel, toto, green day, alanis, boyz II men, seal, incubus, madona, savage garden, jennifer paige, natalie imbruglia, hanson, tlc, maroon 5, fast ball, lisa loeb, sara mclachlan, liz phair, ducan shik, the cranberry, new radicals, snow, the bearnaked ladies, paula cole, merideth brooks, lenny kravitz, blues travelers, marcy playground, edwin mccaine, live and robyn (just to name a few) Welcome home to the new sound of 957 playing what ever the lienters want out of philly radio. All statios sound the same. Enough top-40, CHR. We want on favorite song back on the radio. BEN YOU DID AN AMIZING JOB LAST SUN/MON EARLY MORNING. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

ps: please forgive my typos. I am typing this on my tablet where I am also listening to my Iheart radio app.

I cannot find the Philly GM stations on the Iheart radio app (iPhone version). I thought GM was going to this app but when?

I created my own custom station on Iheart radio for when I am not listening to terrestrial radio. I call it WTMD....Playing Whatever YOU feel like from the 70's 80's 90"s and a Slice of Today......It's FUTURISTIC 95.7 BEN-FM!

I just have to say one more thing.......I do find myself listing to B101 on occasion but it has always been a NO NO in my book growing up in Philly and looking at that station as my parents station. Today its still not right for me. I'd rather MIX over The B. But I like the new sound of WOGL! Only if you WOGL would add the 90's which I know it would never happen. BEN-FM here is your chance to pull from B101, Mix 106.1 and WOGL. Let's do in Greater Media. This is truly what Philly needs...........

OGL should not go anywhere near the 90s. It's not time yet. If anything, expand more into the 80s.

B101 has modernized and is perfect for today's 40 year old female.

B101 plays mostly 90's anyway. They've gotta play whitney once a day at least.

Which is why Mix 106.1 sounds just like Q102.

I agree that OGL should expand into the 80s way more. They bill it as 60s, 70s, and 80s but there's a TON of music of the 80s they're missing. I still think they're a bit heavy on the 70s.

Actually the 70s is still where their center needs to be...a 73-87 focus would be very strong in 2012. Once you got into the later 80s, a lot of Hammer type material began showing up...which I would avoid like the plague on a Greatest Hits station. Start cherry picking the pre-73 tunes very carefully. I'd do a 40% 70s, 40% 80s, and 20% pre-73 mix.
