WHJJ TODAY

mrs. joy,
I tend to agree. I thought Helen Glover did the best she could. They took away her right arm in Maria her producer and I'm sure that made for a bumpy ride.
If HJJ can stablize, maybe in time, they could do something with 9 to noon.
Right now Glover has no lead in. .
In the meantime , Citadel is King of the Air waves.

WPRO has an ad in today's Projo asking if you want your talk radio from Providence or New York. Also per All Access newsman Bill Trifiro exits WHJJ no later than January 5th so this looks voluntary? Leaving CC Providence voluntarily is a new concept I know.

i think trifero was laid off as well. i think the news dept will no longer be a hub but a hubee (that's not right but you know what i mean). jessica on coast quit and rich vandriver quit as well from promotions. i hear some sales people left too but that is normal

CCsux was correct. Trifiro was laid off, and Howie's former producer will be gone 1/1. Traffic will now come from Boston, and several people have left for different jobs. Helen has Arlene's producer, Tim, since Arlene and Maria are gone.

I would say HJJ has shot itself in the foot. But I discovered WGBH-FM 89.7 news radio from Boston, and NPR is both in Providence and Boston.

And NO COMMERCIALS!!

But then , if you wait long enough, HJJ won't have any local commercials, either. Just the ones bundled with syndication advance a restaurant chain that doesn't exist in new England.

WBZ 1030 from Boston is cool, too.

YoMo, fool!!

You've discovered what many already have. There are very good options in other markets. My daily listening spans 200 miles from New York to Boston. There are plenty of options out there. If radio sucks in one city at least we are lucky enough to be able to tune into another.
