well, cant really blame anyone for sueing.. im sure if i was one of them familes i would do the same thing.. not like its gunna bring anyone back.. but what else can you do... only 1 guy stood up and was a man about it and took the blame... and correct me if im wrong but isnt he out of jail already? not sayin he should go back but.. he knew what he was did.. ni tihnk he was more of a man for saying " yes i did it" then half those other idiots that havent come forward yet.

Americans, you amaze me. You find someone to Sue, even when you did it yourselfs.
You all tell me the truth. Who the hell ever imagined a fire like that? Tell me those people that went
to the Station didn't demand to be crushed together? To be high on drugs? To over drink ? To want
the big Pyro light show? It was the behavior of the Rock and Roll life that set the whole thing up.
So sue The Rolling Stones, and ACDC. Sue MTV and VH 1. Sue Hollywood and Television too.
Lastly, sue the victims, yeah the victims. They put themselfs in the crazies. Why do you Americans never
take repondcibilty for your own faults?

The old neighbor who complained about the clubs noise should be sued.

Everybody is looking for someone to sue. Why would someone sue the radio station? Because they gave away tickets to an event where an accident took place? The radio station had no clue this would happen. Everybody wants the big payday. How much more of a stretch can people make to connect people to this fire and place blame on them for it? How about suing the National Weather service for not predicting enough snow to cancel the event? That lawsuit will be next.

Its a sad fact about it, they had there name on it, therefor, they can be sued. Our court systems are so stupid on things of this nature. I find it terrible that the families believe what they need is money, and I feel really bad for those who have it in there head that there was malicious intent here.Skynet74 said:

The Lawsuit was in this weekend Newspapers ( Again ) . Maybe this subject came up because a few bars in Boston was shutdown this week, because of the New Fire laws (New Sprinkler System law in MA pass afther The Station Fire in R.I. )kenwood101 said:

Thats the mentality. Look, it was a FREAK fire. A dozen elements all got together to cause a fire that happens ONCE every HUNDRED years. Thanks to those F---ing sissies in our legislature, they created 'NEW 'fire code laws, WE DON'T NEED!! Filthy Lawyers! Now, they FEAST!
How many Station fires did RI have in the last 70 years? Answer NONE. Now, EVERYONE has to SUFFER with these INSANE laws! I know the owners of a great place in Johnston. Been there 80 years. He closing down because he doesn't have 90,000 dollars, Thats right, 90,000 DOLLARS to tear his place up and put in all the sprinklers and devices the building MUST have. Outragous! This is truly CHICKEN LITTLE, THE SKY IS FALLING! The Victims , the cops, the media, and OFCOURSE, THE POLITICIANS ALWAYS have to make it LOOK like they can do something. THEY CAN'T!

This fire proves one thing.You can't teach common sense.Someone inThe town of West Warwick,The Derderians and the fire inspector should all be in Jail.

i honestly think the only one who should be in jail is the fire inspector.... period.. not the club owners... hell they have to live w/ this the rest of there lives that punishment enough.... but the inspector gave that place a clean bill just weeks prior..... but as far as the lawsuits go.... i think people are clearly takin advantige of the system.... i mean really the f[EDIT] bus company who transported the band to the venue that night is being sued.... give me a f[EDIT] break

For some research I was asked to do, I got to see the lawsuit.. (Actually anyone can go in and see it!).
Not only was the bus company sued, but JBL - who built the speakers the band used. The combustible nature of the speakers construction added to the intensity of the fire!
I seem to remember a judge threw some of the more 'ridiculous' elements of this lawsuit out!
