WHK local programming

Yes, there is ONE local WHK political talk show... Sunday nights at 7 pm, two guys who argue back and forth one's liberal one's conservative. Actually pretty entertaining! How wierd is it that WHK has ONLY one local live call in show and it's on SUNDAY NIGHTS!!!!! They should move this show to week nights insted of the BORRRRRRRING Hewit... I mean, that show is what this town needs, a show where there are different ideas presented on each side of an issue, not just preach preach preach, libs bad libs bad, bush good bush good...

I do know that WTAM experimented with this same formula, coupling left-to-libertarian Rick Gilmour with moderate-to-conservative Brad Sussman following the presidential debates. I actually liked it: it freed up Gilly for the first time in a long while, as Iraq and the church sexual abuse scandal really wore him down. Plus, Brad and Gilly seemed to play off of each other nicely.

WTAM, however, didn't think highly of it: Gilly was gone from the station shortly thereafter.

I think Kevin Kelly (or whatever his name is) buys the time for that show.

Actually he doesn't, my sources say they're paid for the show (prolly not much though, as it's stashed away on sunday nights...)

I've heard rumors that WHK is thinking of putting a live local show on at night after Prager, will it be this show? Not sure, but WHK wouldn't pay much at all for a live local show, so I bet it will be them... Kevin was voted most accessable public official by scene magazine (I think it was scene)... and they get lots of calls so it's clear people listen.

OK, this should be fun! What should be done LOCALY to "FIX" WHK??? With in reason! They're not going to pay to bring in Rush Limbaugh to broadcast live from WHK and nowhere else... :)
