WHK move

Glad you are reporting on this station's activity, since the station has so few listeners and probably next to none who accesses this board.
WHK ratings are hovering between 0.6 and 0.8 over the last few months. Not great but better than you seem to think. Much better than Salem's other AM outlet in Cleveland, 50 kW WHKW, which barely hits 0.1.

The money maker for Salem Cleveland is The Fish. What does save WHK is the brokered programming, a lot of which went to 1420 after WERE changed frequencies in 2007.

I think WHK and WHKW are mroe examples of stations getting more attention on this board than they have listeners over the air/on streaming

It is expected that a strict religious teaching station like WHKW (or WCRF for that matter) has no significant ratings. But you would think that WHK's daily right wing talk format would have far more commercial potential than showing just fraction. By the way, I am fully aware of their actual ratings.

Good move. It will be nice to have Hewitt on in a better timeslot. But I wonder if we will hear him live from 3-6 pm or if it will be sliced and diced as they are currently doing with Gorka due to the stock market show which WHK airs at 3 pm?

I thought they might replace Gorka with a woman for a little more diversity, but maybe Salem figures men wouldn't want to listen to a woman.

I think that Morning Drive is as good of a timeslot as Afternoon Drive is. As for a woman host, I don't think Salem figures men wouldn't want to listen to a woman. Dennis Prager has Julie (Hartman?) on his podcast, and she has filled in for him on his radio show.

Also, afternoon is better because it will allow Hewitt to discuss news that is currently happening whereas in the morning he is basically recapping news items from the previous day.
