If it's a daytimer, there's a rash of them shutting down and turning in their licenses instead of selling them.
Well maybe not a "rash" of them, but even one seems weird for them to do that. But it happens.
I know that 1080 in St. Pauls, NC did that a year and a half or so ago, and there were a bunch of others right around that time who were doing it. For what reason, I never found out except they couldn't afford to keep the license and so I guess they didn't want anyone else to have it either.
Big Ape:
I am close to Shelby... we had a radio reunion in 2006, and Steve Greene came to the reunion. He was one of the nicest engineers I ever met. He is retired and doing well. He seemed real excited to be amongst the group again.
He was real kind to me one morning about 4:30am when I called him and woke him up excited when I got to see my first static electricity coming off the tower after a thunderstorm...
Thanks Guy's I'd appreciate it..Nope hadn't got up with Scott yet either, actually haven't done anything lately but be lazy...But I'll get back up soon!.. Thanks APE!
