WHLI hitting all the right notes

Almost overnight.... WHLI sounds great. This is exactly what they need. The Michael Buble experiment is over. The station sounds good again! ;D
 
Thanks for responding to my thread below about WHLI.

After the 2 o'clock news, Joe Satta played Andy Williams between Clyde Mc Fadder and Jim Croce something WNEW-AM did frequently back in the 1970s playing a Pop Standard in the middle of AC (Adult Contemporary) artists.

I do partially agree that the station is playing a little bit too much of these unknown artists doing cover version of the Standards than the singers who had the original hits. But I see nothing wrong with Rod Stewart or Carly Simon recording their interpretation of, "Stardust".

The problem WHLI may have is, are they going to blow off more of their traditional base than attracting younger listeners.
