WHLM-FM 103.5

A minor item I noticed listening to WHLM 103.5. I noticed they recently rebranded their station from classic hits to classic rock. I have not noticed any major change in what they play, and I suspect the new name (Classic Rock 103.5) has more to do with further defining their image than anything else.

Also, an aside. I have always been curious what listeners prefer re: commercial breaks. I like both WHLM and 105 the River out of Scranton and am curious which type of commercial breaks listeners prefer. They both handle commercial breaks almost completely opposite one another.

WHLM has hour long music sets with longer commercial breaks in between.
The River has more commercial breaks but with only 3 commercials.

Just curious, what would the general consensus be as to who handles it better? (In fact, is there consense?)

As for commercial breaks I prefer both. Hour long sweepes with 3 commercials in between. If radio could actually charge for time the way airlines charge for seats, it could be done.

Noticed that WHLM-FM is now streaming their audio on the internet. The audio sounds awesome. So many web streams are unprocessed or really tinny sounding if they are processed. Not these guys.
