WHLO Music

It's nice to hear music on WHLO again over the holiday weekend BUT....could have done without the dead air that went on at least twice that I heard once overnight and the second Sunday afternoon [who knows if it happened more than those two times]. Once after the end of a commercial spot and the other after end of a song and a station jingle tag. Sorta reminded me of like when an LP runs out at the end of one side. Waited for quite a while for music to start again before I gave up and switched back to WAKR. I assume someone must have been playing Candy Crush and not paying attention to the computer playing the music.

Not Candy Crush, but maybe PacMan!!!!!!!! There are complaints about the computers we use today and everyone multi-tasking. But going back to my years in radio in the 70's, we had to multi-task. Remember the turntables, phones, checking AP wire, recording feeds, setting up carts for commercials, the list was long!

I was just trying to point out that multi-tasking is something that is going by the wayside. Someone who was playing Candy Crush was so involved they were oblivious to everything else. Multi-tasking........ a lost art on many today!
