Who added 92.3 to their presets? Who removed it?

I haven't driven yet today, but next time I'm in my car, I will be replacing my preset for KTU with 92.3. I didn't really like K-Rock for alternative rock, so it wasn't on my presets before.

92.3 is deleted but it doesn't really matter since I haven't really listened to it in the last year or so....My car radio now only has 2 FM Presets (101.9 WRXP & 107.1 WXPK)....All the other presets are devoted to XM.

The station wasn't on my presets before, and it isn't now either. I did tune in to sample it... it's basically a pop-oriented Rhythmic station. Basically fits between Z100 and Hot 97/Power 105 in the same way that Fresh fits between Lite and PLJ. And much like with Fresh, it will probably fare decently enough but fail to dethrone the competition.

I actually don't listen to FM/AM radio but follow playlists via yes and their website (yet, because I'm a New Yorker, I feel entitled to comment on it). I'm an alternative/rock fan so I don't think I'd have 92.3 on my presets. However, I will say that 92.3 NOW probably serves its intended audience much better than K-Rock ever did.

I would think a college kids car presets if they live around the New York City area would be:
1. 92.3 Now FM
2. Hot 97.1
3. 95.5 PLJ
4. z 100
5. Fresh 102.7 (for the pop rock NOW doesn't play)
6. Power 105.1

this would prolly be how mine would look

Well my car stereo has 18 FM presets so all the stations were in there. But I moved 92.3 up from bank 2 to bank 1. Same thing with my home stereo. I moved 92.3 up from bank 2 to bank 1.

This is the assumption so many people who aren't in the college-aged demo keep making about college aged kids and what they listen to. Maybe I'm from another planet, but most college aged kids I personally know won't listen to most of the above stations....certainly many in the age group do, but to turn it into a blanket statement is totally wrong.

Most college kids I know, if they still listen to radio, primarily listen to non-comm stations....WNYC, WNYE (for the KEXP programming), WFUV, WFMU, and perhaps a commercial rock station or two or a station like WSOU.

I think the pop/rhythmic oriented college student in NYC would have.... Z100, Now, Pulse, KTU, Hot 97, Power as their top 6. In the suburbs, tack on a station like WBLI or the former G-Rock.

Someone rock-oriented would have RXP, Q104.3, and depending on their location, whatever local rock stations come in (WBAB, The Peak, 95.9 The Fox, etc.)...depending how mainstream/non-mainstream their tastes are, you would either see some non-comms like WFUV or WFMU or WSOU pop up, or stations like Z100, PLJ, which play some mainstream rock, fill in the top 6.
