No particular order:

1. JD Houston (Z-93.7/Hot 93.7). [Freedom Broadcasting should have hired him for WKND 1230].

2. Chris Ryan (Oldies 102.9)

3. Glenn O'Brien (Oldies 102.9) [They never should've let him go. And to replace him with the god-awful Jack Carney {thank god they fired him}]

4. Jenny Boom-Boom (Hot 93.7) [She's nice. I've met her twice. Once at the station at once at a remote from the cell-phone store that used to be located inside the Shaw's where I work].

5. Steve Jay (sp?) [WWCO AM 1240. Nice guy. He used to be the DJ at the Bristol Auto Club Car Shows. Plus he's a fellow Yankees fan and if I recall correctly he had a variation of NY YANKEES as a license plate on his car.]

6. Rich Cyr [WWCO AM 1240]

7. Tom Graves [WATR AM 1320] (What is that sucking sound?) {Inside Joke since he works with me at Shaw's some people might think I'm sucking up to him). He's their Afternoon News Anchor and Sunday Morning Host.

8. Bob Muskutel (sp?) [WMRD AM 1150]

9. Tom Chute [WATR AM 1320]

Life is good, life is very good...Thank you Guido. You know, I always kind of like him too.

This is easy. Could even make it singular. Bill Lenkey at 96 TICS circa 1977-78. Now he's Broadway Bill Lee in NYC. (Still smokin' at KTU.) Makes the Energizer Buzzy bunny look like a wimp. Only chose that last word for fear of being banned on my first post.

Currenly I like Damon Scott's show on TIC.
I also like Kevin Johnson on HYN-FM middays.

For voiceovers, I still like Erik Edwards who does the VOs for Jamn in Boston.
( I believe thats how you spell his name).

Spyder Harrison aka J.J. Walker - Sirius, Big 105.9 Miami

Magic Matt Alan aka Mr. Cigar - Sirius, Outlaw Radio

Pat St. John - Sirius, Q104 New York

Locally:

Damon Scott - TIC-FM

Dick McDonough - MAS-FM

I am surprised that nobody has mentioned local morning team John Saville and Beth Bradley, the morning team at 102.9 DRC FM. John has been on a number of CT stations during his career, and Beth has won a number of awards for excellence in news reporting.

On a national level: Jackson Armstrong, Mark Simone (currently doing an oldies show on WABC on Saturday nights),on XM, I like Terry "Motormouth" Young, on Sirius: Norm N. Nite, Pat St. John, Jim Kerr, Cousin Brucie, etc.

Comments?

While both are good, IMHO there's no chemistry between them. The show comes off as forced instead of a natural camaraderie. Beth should stick to just doing what she does best which is the news.

Kevin Johnson used to do overnights at WTIC-FM. While I don't mind Damon's voiceover work, I don't care for him as a DJ. My brother sees him at Hartford Wolfpack hockey games all the time and doesn't give a crap for him either. As for Eric Edwards, besides WJMN-FM 94.5 of Boston, he's also the big voice guy for WQHT-FM 97.1 ("Hot 97") in New York City. Nothing beats hearing him bellowing "YEEEEEEEEEAAAAHHHHHH SOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!" :)<P ID="signature">______________

Rick Allison is the VO guy on 'PLR (he also has done radio & TV VO's for yrs. (Bob's Discount Furniture) & does some voices on Fox, CNN, etc. from his studios in NYC & North Haven. Also does Local Bands on 'PLR).

Paul Turner is the Big Voice guy on 'CCC.

Not many of the current jocks on the air in southern New England blow me away. There are many good DJs in this area, what I like are the ones who really seem genuine, know how to communicate well and/or who have a unique style.
Here are a few that stand out in my opinion:
Renee, formally at TIC-FM.
Joan Holiday, previously in Northampton and now in Holyoke I believe.
Slater at WCCC.
Gary Lee Horn and Picozzi when they were at WCCC.
Dee Snyder and Beth when they were at 104.
Jeremy Savage, formally of WKSS.

Past :

Chris Walsh/Robin King -The original "Kiss Club" team
Kim Alexander - WHCN midday
Lich - Every station in the area I think

Present : Kid Fresh has real good interaction with callers and quick with one liners.

How about:

David Lawrence (KC101)
Coach and Chris Demayo (KC101)
The Greaseman

Since it's "all-time", for me there is one who stands head and shoulders above the rest:

Dan Ingram of WABC

Incredible wit, timing and a unique voice that I'll never forget....
