Who controls the radio?

OK, I don't know if you guys have beaten this topic to death yet. All I know is that in the car, the kids rule. BUT, if I'm with the husband, I rule.

I think that in a relationship, that no matter who is driving, the woman takes control. Why? Because women can get really disagreeable fast if they don't get their way (LOL, that's a joke, guys...even if there's some truth in it). Besides, anyone knows that a well-trained husband knows he has to say those two words, "yes dear." If you're a guy trying to get the girl, well then you better be REAL agreeable, right? :D

When the kids were small, I was subjugated to Radio Disney NON-STOP. So phooey if you don't think kids listen to the radio. Mine listen all the time, esp when they get tired of their ipods. WHY? Because they are hunting for new tunes to add to the ipod, that's why!!

Thank gosh, they now listen to something OTHER than Radio Disney. This happened when they reached the age of 8 (they are now 10 and 13). The 13 year old swears by 98.7, but also listens to MyFM, KISS and sometimes KROQ. She now listens to The Sound too, heh heh. Didn't like it at first, but she's starting to like it because they play some of her favorite artists, like Coldplay, Death Cab, and Ingrid Michaelson. She hates the Ting Tings (too pop, she says...)

Doesn't everybody hate The Ting Tings? haha not me. Ya know how they got their name? Google it.

Mimi, the three most important words a husband should say to his wife is not "I Love You" .............
It's

.

.

"You're right, dear!"

:D

They took a fork and dinged it against a glass. I actually liked the Japanese translation of Ting Ting better...lol

Meems, I'm getting a little weird here...At first when I heard them I thought they were called the 'Tang Tangs' ;D - I thought Tang was the greatest beverage when I was growing up. Joe

In our household we have our own version of the "fairness doctrine." I like jazz, she likes 80's and above music. So in the car we switch between two presets: KKJZ and "The Sound" (used to be Jack). We get about 15-20 minutes each (time varies according to the length of the trip).

It was her idea.

Ah,see what I mean about women dictating policy in the car?? And I bet you said those three words too!

I do agree women control the radio. I about had to fight my cousin (female) the other day. She wanted to put on MyFM because they play "really good music." I told her I refuse to tune in as a matter of principal (they fired Charlie Tuna and unbelievably made KBIG even worse, but that's another discussion for another day).

Finally after some bickering we settled on Movin 93.9. So much for my wanting to listen to KLOS.

It was actually four words: "Whatever you want, sweetheart." Plus I thought it was a good idea.

But I'll gladly compromise musical taste for a little peace and harmony.
