Who could be impacted by Jack/Evansville

It would be a interesting thing to see who gets impacted by WYXY 107.1's Jack deal.

I think Jack sister WIKY could take a hit, but mabye that's why SC put Jack on, to prevent Regent from stealing WIKY listeners and keeping them in house at least.

Oldies 105.3 could be affected. Jack will probably play better 70s then Superhits.

WEOA? Depends upon how much old R&B is heard. But I think WYXY is using the ABC feed, so it's a pretty generic feed not specifically customized for anyone.

WABX is likely. WGBF is newer rock so I really don't see anything happening to them.

But could even the country outlets suffer erosion? There is crossover potential for Jack to get some folks from WKDQ, Wolf, WRAY, WBKR, and others.

And WSTO and WDKS could have a few less soccer moms

Any of this a possibility?<P ID="signature">______________

I don't see Jack taking this city by storm, by any means. It may do respectable numbers, but it'll probably never get higher than about 10th. It'll take a few listeners from WIKY, WSTO, WDKS, and WABX. I doubt the country stations will be affected at all. It doesn't seem like 107.1 is even on the radar for most people around here, so they would have to do some major promotions just to get the attention of many. I hope they stick with the format for a while and don't pull the plug in a hurry if it doesn't work, but they better not count on huge numbers.
