Who did the VO's for Ch 19 (WXIX) in the 70's?

His voice sounded like he was disguising his voice and he did a lot of the Danco Transmission commercials. Also did Jim Scott ever do voice overs on ch. 19 in the 70's?

Not sure where he is now but the guy you are thinking of is Jay Davidson. Not sure on the first name but sure it is Davidson

I believe it was Mike Davidson. He used to intoduce the cartoons and read the station identification. "WXIX TV - Proud of the Area we Serve." He was later a DJ for 1530 WSAI when Bob Braun was on the station in the mid 90's.

Mike Davidson was the primary announcer for Metromedia 19. He also did the newscasts (voice over with slides) and hosts "Ask the General Manager", usually with Kevin O'Brien. He did this while working at WWEZ-FM92.

He later worked at channel 64 (WIII-The Eyes of Cincinnati era) then worked at 1530WSAI.

I think at some point he was doing voicers for spots on Time Warner Cable.

There was another VO guy at XIX that did some of the station ID's & Kroger's commercials as well as the sign off/sign on ID during that time as well.

I only remember Mike Davidson doing the voice-overs on Channel 19 at that time. He previously worked at WAEF-FM, the Cincinnati suburban FM station, in the 1960's. While he was at WXIX, he was residing in the Dillonvale section of Hamilton County.

The other voice at WXIX is Greg Eversole, an engineer who is still at WXIX. He's the voice of the old sign-on/sign-off, DANCO transmission (remember the old Mission Impossible commercials?), the disclaimers before paid shows and the old Ed Bousman religious programming.

If you go to 19's website and watch the half hour Cool Ghoul rememberance of Dick Von Hoene, you'll see and hear Greg.

WOW WWEZ! My Dad used to listen to that station a LONG time ago.
