Word from inside Susq is that they released the 14-16 staffers before Cumulus could show them the door on Friday because the severance package Susq offered was more favorable to their people. Morale can't be good at either station, very said and best wishes to those forced to move on.

Shit happens. The people let go are some of the most talented anyone will have the pleasure to work along side. They won't have problems finding jobs.Trust me...this is hitting close to home.And for the record...Michael Cunningham was doing the imaging for Q. Andy West was handling X. Now Andy has both. Cumulus is cheap. Maybe we'll end up with the 'Geller Morning Show' and phone hottie Wendy doing traffic.Seriously, how long is Bert Weiss under contract and the other Bert Show folks? Maybe Jeff can phone scan Lew Dickey .... Jeff can be someone from the FCC calling to inform Mr. Dickey that they made a mistake and Cumulus isn't legally the owner yet due to a clerical error.

There's no way Bert will remain at Cumulus when his contract expires. The Dickeys will let the station go down the tubes before they pay a jock the kind of money that Star or the Beat would easily pony up for Bert. Even though the Bert show carries that station and is responsible for the majority of its revenue, the Dickey's will let Bert walk. They're just that dumb.
