who got the CC bullet today???

What if they VT, have ZERO connection to the local community, completely fake it...and the marketplace STILL doesn't punish them? What then?

The sooner CC puts this sham on the airwaves, the sooner they will go away. It's a losing battle. They know it, we know it, the Bain guys know it....The sooner they go on with their business, the sooner CC crumbles, the sooner these stations are back in the hands of real broadcasters

A lot, not all, but a LOT of the "real broadcasters" have bailed out of radio altogether. There IS life after radio even though it means that you have to resort to getting a REAL job! Radio was a blast for a lot of people for many years but now the folks that are left in the business are wondering every single day when the other shoe is going to drop. When it does, unless your very well connected, you'll join the thousands that are competing for jobs (and money) that you wouldn't have even considered a few years ago. It's a very sad situation out there. I am very optimistic about our nation's economic recovery, but have very little faith in radio ever coming close to what it once was. Don't get me wrong. Radio will continue to make money and be a reasonably decent entertainment medium, but it will continue to be run on a very tight budget with very few employees.
