WHO GOT THE QUIET STORM JOB AT V-103?

Did Keith Sweat ever make it to the V, as was rumored on here?

Nope, it is still jockless from 10pm to 2am, Sundays through Thursday nights.

That's what makes it "quiet". Duh!

Your attempt as humor was an epic failure. You might want to go to Wikipedia on the WHUR-FM for the history of the "Quiet Storm" name...

No need to look it up. It's a 35 year old radio cliche, right up with with "The Imaginary Ballroom". It's almost, but not quite as old as, "From high atop the Hotel Sheets, in downtown Plunketville."

Honestly, it's kinda refreshing to have a slow jamz night show without dj chatter. I think many Urban stations actually do this now. However Joyce Littel had been on V103 so long The Quiet Storm isn't the same without her. I wouldn't be suprised if V103 doesn't hire anybody.

It's not uncommon since their sister station, WJHM/Orlando, has been running it's "Quiet Storm" programming jockless for nearly 3 years now after laying off a market radio vet as well.

That's understandable. Clear Channel is cheap as hell outside of its flagship urban stations (like WPWR, KMEL, WGCI, WJLB, etc.).

What does cheap have to do with it? They could add a voice-tracked voice from someone who is already on the payroll anyway for nothing (or next to nothing) if they wanted to.

Let's see, the management at CBS Radio Atlanta has found it more successful to be as "community oriented" and "local" as possible or just go jockless instead (like what they are doing now from 10PM-2AM). Otherwise, they would have been have piped in a voice-tracked personality form another market on V-103 a long time ago.

Lord knows Osei "The Dark Secret" is awful in the middays as well as in the nightclubs. Whats really going on at V?

I never really had a problem with him on air during middays, but he is better suited for the late night hours guessing by the way he attempts to flirt with female listeners.
