Who has better TV San antonio or Houston?

Airwave read it correctly. Maaarvin on 13 is worth his weight in ratings points as is 200 year old Dave Ward, 80 Something Bob Allen and 90 Something Ed Brandon. Consistency is what rules in local news in most markets. With that said, Houston, being #9 (market size) will naturally be better in all facets that San Antonio, but Houston does have its market size 100 moments. My favorite, how to prepare yourself for an elevator disaster, dog attack, shark attack, and of course the venerable hostage situation. Channel 2 wins the award for this nonsense. That's why no one takes their news seriously or for that matter, watches it. KRIV, Fox 26 needs to change its theme music to Sammy Davis' Candyman. The next time I see their female anchor Melissa Wilson talk sweet baby talk to weather chic Cecelia Sinclair and visa versa I'm going to drive over to their station (only a few blocks from my house) and throw up on it. Just because Houston in market 9 doesn't give it credibility as a solid news town.

Yeah! That KENS 5 Newsteam at 10pm was great -- Chris Marrou, Dan Cook, and Albert Flores! All those snide remarks all evening -- who even worried about the news??? ::)

Yeah Chris Marrou was too busy running the Henry Bonilla re-election campaign to worry about news. Dan Cook was what viewers were looking for.

Having lived in both markets for several years, I'd give the 'news' edge to H-town, but the 'local' edge to SA. The only time Houston news mentions anything but Harris and Galveston Counties is when there is a disaster or major accident of some sort.

On the other hand, SA stations cover a much larger Texas geographic area and often mention Uvalde, etc to the west, San Marcos/Austin to the North, Kenedy-Karnes, Cuero, Victoria and Gonzales to the Southeast, and Hallettsville and Schulenburg to the east.

Since there is no full-power CBS station in Victoria, the cable carries KENS-5 out of SA. The local Victoria newscasts are pretty 3rd-rate, but for a city of 60,000, it's not bad. It's 90 miles to the SA tower farm, so I can't imaging those stations getting to Port Lavaca County very well.

I'd go with the rotor!!
