Who heard Farrell and how did he do?

I can't recall the last time I looked as forward to a sports talk show as last night when Scott Ferrall was pinch-hitting for JT the Brick.

And The Ferrall was on again- telling great stories- keeping us updated on the major league baseball scores- and being very respectful though never straying from character.

Among the high points for "color" were his stories of co-hosting a show with Tommy Lee and the day Kiss walked into a bar he was at and started hitting on every woman in the joint.

I gotta give it up to Farrell- I am soooooooo sick of sports talk host trying to speak in hip-hop lingo. It's my belief that the vast majority of sports talk listeners are about as far away from the hip-hop world as you can get- the sports talk listener is much more in tune to other forms of music- ANY other form of music!

GET THIS GUY ON THE NATIONAL AIRWAVES AGAIN!

and why do you think that sports talk listeners dont like hip hop? hip hop is the highest selling genre in music right now and has been for the last decade. so for you to say that sports talk guy is "in tune with other forms of music" doesnt make much sense. maybe youre a backstreet boy, britney spears kinda guy. but dont lump all of the rest of us with you. and btw.......farrell blows. i tired of his schtick in atlanta years ago, and i see he hasnt changed it one bit. think there might be a reason he doesnt have a gig?

I like Ferrall, and I hope he latches on at FSR. I met him in Vegas back in late 1993 when he was working for 1 on 1 and he would host a Monday Night Football party at the Frontier downtown....very engaging guy. It's a damned shame that his career has languished while no-talent JT's has taken off. I remember when Ferrall was the prime-time host for Sportsfan Radio Network and JT was the scrub overnight host. JT can thank his buddy Asswood for having his back when Sportsfan bit the dust, and Asswood (at the time, GM for Clear Channel's WOAI-AM) got him his job at FSR. Otherwise, JT would (and should) be in Ferrall's shoes.

I didn't find anything about him when he was doing talk radio on the former WMAX Atlanta and when I tried listening to him last night, I couldn't get passed the voice.<P ID="signature">______________

There is probably no bigger supporter of Scott Ferrall than Andrew Ashwood. I bet Ferrall would have had a FSR gig by now if he hadn't had those problems in Miami. If indeed Andrew helped JT off a sinking ship, what does that have to do with Scott, who was, I believe, doing is WW1 network show at the time. I think your venom is mis-directed. I'm certain Scott would feel that way.

BTW, actually Andrew was the PD of WOAI, not the GM..you'd probably know the signifcance difference had you ever been in the business.

My point is that it's ironic that the man with the talent, Ferrall, is struggling to latch on with FSR, while the no-talent bum JT is firmly cemented at FSR as the nighttime golden boy.

Ratchet, I'm not sure you know the real definition of the word 'supporter'. AA claimed to be a big supporter of Chuck Booms, too. And you know what happened there. And AA was the de facto GM of 'OAI, at least for awhile...no big deal.

And Another Thing About AA

Don't even try to deny that Asswood and JT are best friends. Asswood may have been a "supporter" of Ferrall, but he allegedly was a "supporter" of T. Bruno as well (and Booms, as josephandrews points out). Where are those guys now? I wonder how the other FSR employees feel about the relationship between Asswood and JT?
