WDXQ-FM (96.7 Cochran) will carry the Hawkinsville Red Devils, while WDXQ (AM 1440) will carry the Bleckley County Royals.

WDXQ, and about 50 other stations statewide, will carry the Georgia High School Scoreboard program, hosted by one the best play-by-play sports broadcasters I've ever known, Tommy Palmer. Tommy...you owe me BIG (okay, $5.00 will do) for the plug!

I'm sort of surprised that WDXQ picked up the Hawkinsville games, at least on FM. Apparently, WDXQ was willing to spend less to broadcast the contests, maybe far out of WMCG-104.9's price range. The FM signal also gets into Hawkinsville very well, which likely factored into the decision. Best of luck to both stations, though.
