Who is Bill Apger?

This is what I found on Craigs list this morning! Who Is Bill Apger, I really needed a laugh first thing this morning! Thank you Bill for making me laugh!! Below is some of what he posted on Craigslist this morning!


You can be on the air at a legit Radio Station and all that it will cost you is 275 for each hour show or 350 for each two hour show. I am here to share my 20 years Broadcasting Knowledge with you. If you can afford the hourly rate above then I will be more than happy to help you.

I worked with Bill Apgar for the better part of year. The dude has been fired from practically every radio station in the area. He's an oddball, and I say this knowing that he reads the posts here. But I digress... Bill's "legit radio station" is probably WTAN, and I would assume he would take your $275 dollars, give some of that to Dave & Lola, pocket the rest, and then share his "20 years of broadcasting knowledge". It might be worth the money just to hear this guy talk about radio, he is a real character... but be careful he doesn't try to shank you, or hit on your ol' lady...

Your show can either air one hour week every Saturday Morning from 9 to 10
for a fee of 375 for one hour.
Or Your show can also air 5 times a week 2 hours a day M - F night 9 to 11
for 1500 a week.
I am requesting you be committed to a 14 week contract. I handle the air time, production, promoting.
Your responsible for the sponsors and all you do is talk. Your program will receive a 30 second promo that will air on 2 Radio Stations in Tampa plus stream live to the million computers world wide.


WHAT 2 RADIO STATIONS????

WOW, gotta give this guy credit for self promotion! BTW the stations have to be WTAN/WDCF. Trevor Joe Lennon, ex-WHOG and ex-WJQB was doing an evening show there for awhile but it now appears to be gone so those have to be the 2 weeknight hours Apgar is hawking. Lennon sounded better than he did on WJQB, more relaxed I think, and played his kind of music. Mostly album oriented rock oldies. I liked most of it but sometimes he got a little wierd, even for me ;)

How do we KNOW this is Trevor Joe Lennon?? Maybe you are Bill Apgar?? I dont want to be defending my comments to just anyone ;D Anyway, take the compliment, dont worry about the weird part!

"Billy the Board Opp" as I used to call him was fired on air while running board on my show. While I was attempting to be ever so somewhat entertaining and taking calls young Billy was playing rap music into my head phones and screaming. I took my cell phone called the boss and held the phone up to my headset so she could hear what I was hearing.

Within mere seconds she was running my show and Billy the Board Opp was looking for a job.

That sounds, sadly, like the Billy I used to know. Hourly rates for "do it yourself radio" fluctuate with supply and demand, but $200 an hour for WTAN's signal is way too much.
