I have other things to do, like laundry. What's up here with the takeover? I'm just asking?
 
Since you asked:

- I'm in my late 50s. A former sales rep for two AM stations in the early 1990s and one FM station in the mid 1990s. Was in the biz before the corporate takeover of the industry I really enjoyed working in.

- I grew up on the West Side and used to live in Williamsville. Recently moved the family to Lancaster.

- I am married with two boys. It's amazing to talk to them about the radio industry and get their viewpoints on what AM and FM local radio is now and then watch them be amazed when I tell them how it USED to be before just a handful of corporate outfits owned most everything in the market.

- I enjoy listening to WBEN, WGR and WECK and some of the other smaller outfits on the AM dial. FM? I flip around and listen to 'em all.

- I am NOT Brad Riter.

- I mean no harm. Just expressing my opinion. When I'm not working (in sales now in a completely different industry) and the boys are out playing with their friends (dates with their girlfriends or drinking at the bar) and the wife isn't on eBay I am online and checking out this board.

It's a message board. We all play or played the game. Welcome to Kramer and everybody else. Post to your heart's content. And BTW, I didn't get on A's case earlier when he wrote about WGR and WBEN being 50's because I just figured, what the hell... everybody from Buffalo and Rochester knows KB is the only 50 here. Seems we're all playing nicely lately, eh?
 
geo kram: post all u want - i typed the way "kids" dew 2day - when i
was in h.s. (way back in the low 90s), i didnt invent the text.short-hand
but use it all the time.(esp here) and when ppl get frustrated at my posts -
they type (like dis and dat) and sayz things like i dont kno whut the bored
op is sayin' or he shure dont kno n.e.thing about ray-dee-oh...

I also have difficulty communicating (5 concussions will do that to u)
(hence why im not in the radio biz), in some form or another... and thats why
i live the dream here - i often dream about winning the mega and what i would
dew(lol) on a buffalo FM station that i would acquire; or a ultimate "what if"
scenario, or the most "crazy" scenario that after i type it - i may even wonder, or think:
