who is on 106.7fm?

Found in a google search that 106.7 is now using the call of KXOS. Saw nothing on their website that states the current callsign. I been able to listen at the right time to catch the id on air. Interesting what www.1067kknd.com brings up.

PoWer 102.9 with the "W" emphasized, but with calls KXOS and no "W"??? What brianchild thought that up? 'Bout time Q93 gets some direct competition with a "decent" FM signal. Not a bad move. Now let's bring back Rock 92.3...Pal, Weirdo? Knock on their door! PLEASE!

As of yesterday @ 3pm they were using a ID of KMEZ-Port Sulphur/New Orleans so try listen again around 15min till to 15-after the hour when they are local not playing a national show like they had friday afternoon. Either the listing was a data error by the FCC or S-#*adel is in violation.

SO what are the calls on 102.9?

KKND/ Belle Chaste-New Orleans. According to their promos on July 3 @ 10;29 (I didn't catch if it was am or pm) the flip will happen that (as they put it) will rock the 504. Speculations??????

My guess is what kd5pck found.... Most rapp stations and urban stations refer to area codes more than say non-AA programming....

I mean for example....

WLMG... rocking the 225,228,504,601,and 985:)

Apparently, Cox Communications has a new hip-hop station on the air in San Antonio called Power 106.7. It used to be Z106.7 (CHR). So the name Power isn't new to the urban format. Personally, when I think of a "Power" station, I think CHR. Hence B-97 back in the late 1980's:

"The POWER station" B-97FM
