Who is the best afternoon drive jock / host in Boston History?

Did you know that Roy Masters, the man of peace and love..... ;-( is alleged to carry a knife in his sock for protection. By the way, is he still on the air or is he in some padded home somewhere in the countryside?

Didn't Jeremy Savage do mornings for quite a while on WKSS Kiss 95.7 in Hartford.

Re: I like your style! :)

sorry, I couldn't resist. Roy would get my blood boiling pre-Rush Limbaugh.

Roy masters, that is, not the Roy who worked at WBCN.

I didn't stay with Dale on Kiss because I'm not a CHR fan, but when I was a kid I listened to him on WRKO, and now I'm enjoying listening to him mornings on WODS. He still has the spirit that harkens back to the genuine fun, spontaniety and originality of the heyday of the 60's Top 40 radio era that he came from.

As a baby radio pronouncer, listening to Bruce Bradley was always fun, and listening to him on WBZ was actually "assigned" to me as homework by my first (fulltime)pd (up in Maine).

and along with the true pros noted above, there were ohters who made pm drive fun, including Addams & Doyle on WHDH. (great bits like "The Movie Barn" & "Mr.Rambo's Neighborhood.")
