who likes channel 55 the tube

I'm not familiar with all this talk here so let me ask...

How far off are we looking at when we talk about not being able to use the "current" setup of analog stations with a regular antenna? I mean, are they just gonna faze them out and go digital or will they keep the analog around? I for one have a relatively new TV set and don't plan (unless something happens to this one) on buying another new one within 5 years.

Your help would be appreciated.
