Kinda thinkin' Greater Media's gonna grab it, they wanted a Hot AC station, or at least tried it a lot, so this gives them something that won't hurt any other stations at all they own, and it also runs into Philly, a city that really helped GM get on its feet.

They own Ben in Philly and Magic in New Brunswick. A hot AC on 94.5 will hurt both. The current CHR format is billing well, don't mess with it!

PST is a Hot AC, actually.

Actually, No it's not. It's (Adult) Top 40. Their own RDS, Nielsen BDS, and Mediabase all confirm Top 40. It's very similar to Hot AC, but Nicki French and Roxette you hear on a True Hot AC like ISX you're not hearing on PST.

It's leaning more and more rhythmic. At night when Jelli lets listeners choose the playlist, the people who are more likely to use Jelli are teenagers and young adults, hence it sounds more rhythmic at night.

ISX and PST are comparable, but as a daily listener to ISX, I hear Roxette once a week, with an hour day listening average. I always hear Train, Pitbull, Bon Jovi, Katy Perry (big overplayed artist on WISX), Adele, Pink, and many other modern artists. I honestly think it's just the time of day I listen (3:30-4:30 PM)

I bet ya if cbs brought 94.5 they would rebrand it as fresh 94.5 and just say WPST during the legal id or mabye not

Maybe Not, probably makes the most sense.

PST has a cume averaging around half a million listeners, with great demos and many format dependent sponsors that shouldn't be chased.

One would be wise not to mess with that kind of a brand too much unless one had really great reasons to expect another format on that signal would really do better.

I bet ya if cbs brought 94.5 they would rebrand it as KYW and say KYW-FM during the legal id.

94.5 is in Bucks County anyway and that is really where KYW has problems on 1060AM.

It's also strong along the Delaware river. You can get it as far as Wilmington.

Is 94.5 stick located in PA near the Oxford Valley Mall, the one visable along Super Highway 1 ?

Must be - all I know is it's along Route 1 in PA near NJ.

PST is what you'd call CHR with a Hot AC Lean.
It leans more mainstream CHR at night, less so during the day. Perhaps Adult CHR would be a better title for the day.
This is one of those stations that made Hot AC and Mainstream CHr work on the same freq, depending on what time of day you prefer to listen.

So, PST is for sale, and supposedly Radio One's stations are too. Is there any place to verify this?

so are you hearing that radio-ones stations are for sale in your head or is this really true ?

All R1 Class - A FM's are for sale. I am not hearing this in my head, it was on the boards here at RI. But this was Dec. 2011 - could be a bit different.
