Who pulled the plug on everyone's favorite station? (97-1)

Probably had it's best ratings ever last night. At least we were spared boring Eagles "rock" (yeah, right), U-2 every ten minutes followed by Coldplay. Sometimes it sounds like Mix 92.9, does that mean Mix is a real rock experience with ratings?

Could be..Mix plays "More Than a Feeling" by Boston and "Pride (In the Name of Love)" by U2
..it's hard to tell one from the other anymore. Too much Dave Matthews on 97-1! I really
think they should go alternative with a big lean on 90s like radio 104-5 in Philly. Probably wouldn't hurt them any.

It's too soon for me to notice any similarity between Mix 92.9 and the latest "makeover" of 'RQQ, but I have for quite a while now noticed an increasing similarity between the playlist of 92.9, and that of 105.9. They both now play all of the following (and more):

Fleetwood Mac
Boston
Steve Miller Band
U2
Foreigner
Bryan Adams
Phil Collins (ugh!)
Aerosmith
Whitesnake
John (Cougar) Mellencamp
Stealers Wheel

I'm sure most of you could add to this list.

Their transmitter went off and their Chief Engineer was on a 1 week unpaid mandatory vacation (furlough) due to Cumulus cost cutting.

The regional engineer (also based in Nashville) was on call, but did not answer his phone or pager.

Apparently, this is about as rinky-dink a company as I have ever heard of...

97.1 was giving you the total rock experience. That night's artist was Lynyrd Skynyrd live from Starwood Amphitheatre many years ago. This concert included a recekless driver hitting transformer pole outside Starwood, thus killing power to concert. Sadly, no recorder was around to capture bonfires started with patrons' clothing.
