Who schedules the Big Show co-hosts?

On Wednesday, the Sox and Celtics were both playing home games. This tells me that all the sportswriters and reporters are in town. So who is co-hosting the Big Show? Lame Larry Lardbutt.

Is this arrogance or stupidity? Who makes these decisions? Is it Brett or Andy? Or does Ordway choose them? Or maybe someone else? Is it an affirmative action thing? Just about everybody in the Boston market is available, but they put on the Putrid Preacher.

well, if they're worried about affirmative action, Max was on with them for a bit. Nah, I don't get that either. It's too bad Bob Ryan can't be on WEEI. Sure, he's a blowhard but that fits the bill for the show and, unlike LJ, Bob actually knows what he's talking about.

I used to like Ryan before the Globe banned their writers. Jackie MacMullen is available, as is Bob Lobel; not to mention Bradford, Buckley, Burt, Burton, Mazzorati, Maxwell, McAdam, Merloni, Stearns, Curran, Caron, Perillo, Smerlas, and Deossie. Every one listed is better than LJ.

Zo' is getting a shot today. He's available for heavy rotation which will likely start with Pats camp in July. I haven't heard if any of the other WSKO crew got jobs after the flip.
I haven't heard him much but he's a pretty smooth broadcaster who I wouldn't mind seeing move out at least two of the full-timers. But I think everybody has new contracts so that's not happening.

you might want to think twice about Smerlas and DeOssie :D

As bad as they are, especially Smerlas, they know more about sports than plagiarist tracer.

I hear Andy Gresh a lot more on ESPN radio these days and he does more appearances on Comcast Sportsnet.

I turned on 'EEI at about 1:20, thinking that Mustard and Custard were off the air. They were still on and the first thing I hear is Frank from Gloucester. CLICK. Nothing ever changes. I should start a new thread entitled "Who hires the weekend help?" Mustard, Johnson, Halloren, Stearns, Everett and Jermaine..............unbelievable.

I can't believe they're alternating hosts on the baseball show, yet they leave crap like M&J on the air.

I would love to hear Laura Benke and Jackie MacMullen to have a show together. I love hearing women talk about sports and actually know what they are talking about.

About LJ, I truly believe it is affirmative action. I can't stand that law, it is completely stupid.
