Who schedules the co-hosts on the Big Show?

On the day before the World Series starts, all of the baseball writers are in town and who's on the Big Show...........Larry Johnson!!! Who makes these decisions? Is it the producers of the show itself, does it come from higher up, or does Ordway just need his lawn mowed?

I don't know about Peter King, but I know Gammons is under contract with ESPN and is only appears on ESPN affiliated stations. I don't know if Peter King's contract limits him like Gammons' contract. Granted there are a lot more people out there that EEI could pull in...

Virtually all ESPN talent like Gammons are now prohibited from appearing on EEI. King is a regular contributor to Dale and Holley, so Ordway wouldn't poach him. Perhaps he can get some of the Sports Illustrated guys.

I was talking about Tony Mazz, Rob Bradford, Sean McAdam, Steve Buckley, et al, or anyone other than Larry Johnson, whose knowledge is limited to tracing bad cartoons. I notice he's been fired from the Remy Report as he was with SI.com. I guess he can't even trace right anymore. BTW, Peter King is a football writer.

I don't know why he wouldn't have the locals...did they write more than usual and need the time for their real jobs? I know King is a football writer, I was responding to the guy who mentioned him.

As far as the decision makers, I would guess that Ordway puts his wish list together and then the producers track them down. They were at the park, so I really have no idea why he wouldn't have had the usual baseball guys. Having said that, I guess I am babbling with nothing more to add to this thread, so I'll stop.

Go Sox. ;)

So you think Ordway makes the choices. I guess that makes sense, LJ is an Ordway sycophant. Brett and Andy don't seem to have a very high opinion of him though. He probably whines to Ordway until he tells them to put him on.
