Who thinks WRDU should try rock again??

I do but who else? I wold like them to be a mix of 100.3 The Buzzard and 106.5 The End. I think that it will work this time around because 96rock is sounding lame.

I would like for that to happen myself. I do not like the 96Rock Jingles and the audio.

If CC were to pull this off, do you think The Blade (now on 96Rock) would come back?

I'd like to see it happen, but I'm not holding my breath. Besides, unless new leadership is in place @ CC, why would rock work any better there now than it did before?

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

Don

Get Venters back, he'll fix that dump (after they move the transmitter to WRAL's tower and waste a ton of money doing it with no potential return). Sheesh, radio people are so dumb!

CC would just stick either the elderly classic rock format, or the wimpy alernative. What they need is an active rock format.

WRDU tried mainstream rock from July 2001 to September 2002. Didn't work (I was there). Active rock certainly won't work. If the research supported active rock it would've been done in the market long ago.

What did work? Balls out classic rock. WRDU flipped back to an edgy classic rock Sept 02 and the numbers shot up - to #1 M25-54 - in one book.

Why? It's what the P1's expected.

Would WRDU do well as a classic rock? Yes. But not the watered down classic hits bullsh*t they were doing before flipping to "Rooster", which is of course now on 100.7 (which should've been country).

Would Blade return? No. Bet on that.
