It's been a month since Cedric The Entertainer has taken over as host of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? What do people think of him as host? Although I was never a big fan of Millionaire I don't care for him as host, even though I liked him in some of his acting roles. He looks ridiculous on those suits and the pimp hat.

Who Wants to be a Millionaire

Can't stand Cedric on Millionaire. Watched the season premier and a couple clips here and there since then, haven't warmed up to his sense of humor.
"Family Feud"'s hosts have all been either comedians or
sitcom actors (Richard Karn, John O'Hurley), and Richard
Dawson made it OK to put down contestants who gave
obviously dumb answers.
As for "Millionaire," although Meredith was just fine, Regis
was the show. I also didn't care for some of the rule changes;
even though I agree with the time limits (one contestant once
spent 53 minutes trying to figure out an answer), I preferred the
"$64,000 Question" style of the questions increasing in difficulty
along with their dollar values.
As for Cedric, I don't find him a bit funny. I would have preferred
to see Regis come out of retirement. I'm not optimistic that "Millionaire"
will be around more than another year.
Meanwhile, if Katie is still on the ABC o&os this time next year, I'll be
interested in seeing if Meredith is against her on the NBC ones.

Then there's the commercial MY TV 9 (WCTX 59.1) is airing for the show. Very annoying. It shows Cedric The Entertainer on the set in the suit and Pimp Hat dancing to what sounds like Spanish music. On the screen in says "New Season" "New Host." And then at the end Who Want's to be a Millionaire? Weekdays 4PM MY TV 9. MY TV 9 is really over-running the commercial too. They don't have a lot of advertisers.
He sucks. Millionaire jumped the shark a long time ago anyway.
