Sorry. Been off this board for years and just stopped by and saw this. To answer your query, the WKZQ PD at that time was Greg Fowler and he referred to himself as "Captain Afternoon".

Greg spent time as the PD at my very first station, WHSC in Hartville, for a time. He's better known for hooking up with Alabama and becoming part of their management...last time I spoke to him was a few years ago and he was Jake Owen's road manager at the time.
