Who was the Announcer on SNL last night?

I missed the show. Don Pardo had mentioned being done with the show a few months back. Did they somehow get him to return, or has he officially been replaced?

It sure sounded like him on Saturday night. As a friend pointed out, did anybody notice that there was no Darrell Hammond on this show? In either the open or during the show itself?

I have yet to watch the show (recorded it last night), but Hammond's absence was interesting. I recall seeing him on the Thursday night "Weekend Update" special, playing Bill Clinton, and figured he hadn't left the series just yet.

We talked about Hammond in another thread back around May following the season finale. I actually mentioned how Will Ferrell singled Hammond out during the closing goodbyes and gave him a big hug and Hammond looked directly at the camera at the time.

Someone else mentioned then that castmembers aren't generally allowed to say goodbye (although Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been allowed to say goodbye). But I'm 99.9% sure that he is gone from the show after becoming the longest-lasting castmember ever although the last several seasons we only saw him well after midnight in just 1 or 2 very minor roles.

Didn't see last night's show but Don Pardo was supposed to retire following last season's finale.
