Who Will Be Next?

Since it looks like TRG's return is a fait accompli, and since Q100 is moving to a stronger signal, which morning show will be the next to eat it: The Morning Mess on Star 94 or The Giant Mess on Project 9-6-1? My money's on the Giant Mess. Discuss.

Now that 99X is being given a format flip,I predict that DAVE-FM will be flipped next. How much longer will CBS Radio tolerate the basement ratings? I lost track of how many morning shows that Z-93/DAVE FM has been thru since 1989.(That is when Z went from Top 40 to Classic Rock).

To each his own, I guess. Dave is the only station in Atlanta I can listen to for more than 5 minutes.

Dave is getting ready to launch their new morning show and you have to wonder if they were planning on already adjusting things on the station to begin with.

Their new morning show launch is already going suffer with all of these other changes in Morning show's. They fumbled it in my opinion.

Lucy plays older alternative which is good but they will not play a song unless it is at least 3 years old. Wouldn't people get tired of hearing the same songs without any of the new alternative songs? Don't get me wrong, Lucy is a good station for XM but I don't see how it would translate for ratings locally except maybe for a few seasons before the burnout happens. 99X tried to focus on '90s alternative a few years back with their 90's alternative slogan. I don't know if it hurt them but it definitely didn't save them.

My money is actually on Eagle. With 4 country stations in the market, its a bit much. Plus, its about time to break up that country duo at Citadel anyway.

Why should Dave flip now that there are a bunch of ex 99X listeners floating around? Like a burning building, all the rats will scurry out and seek a new one. This is an opportunity for Dave, a flip now would be a blunder.
