PARTY FM!! :D

Wednesday's release will be for the Arbitron "month" of November, which runs from the third week of October to the second week of November (10/15 to 11/12) so party was only on for about 9 days of the period.

I think he was kidding....

No way would 87.7 be at the #1 ranking no matter what format is on there. 8)

I believe CBS-FM will see their highest ratings ever in November, although they may not overtake WLTW (Lite-FM). Their A-Z Countdown over the holidays would have to be a boost.

Thanks,
Kevin L. Sealy

I love that you wrote that in green, Mr. Sealy, the color of $$$$$$$$$...
when CBS FM ,the new version, signed on a year ago, I said they were headed to #1, to be mocked by hoots and catcalls...
now, a year later. not so much with the hoots and catcalls, eh?

The November book ended on 11/12, so it will not include the Thanksgiving week special or anything near it.

I doubt that they will come close to overtaking Lite in November, and in the December book, Lite will dramatically increase with its Christmas programming.

CBS-FM holds at a 5.9, still #2 to WLTW
CBS-AM pulls into #3 slot
QXR "returns" with a 1.6
RXP down a quarter million in cume, still can't crack a 2 share

But the big story...

The debut of WXNY in 9th place, WSKQ eating their dust!

When was the last time WXRK had a 2.7? I think since the pre-FREE FM days... I think some kudos is in order to WXRK management. We might not agree on how the station is being run (or how their jocks are), but apparently something is working.

At least I will give a tip of the hat to CBS Radio... it's not the killer AMP is in LA... but then again, AMP doesn't have a KTU to deal with.

How wonderful! That's great news, I guess :-\... oh but where is Party FM?!?!? LOWER THAN PULSE WAS?!?!?! THis is SO sad!!! :( sigh...Sooner or later, SOMETHING'S gotta give on the NY FM dial though, right???? Seeing how Dance music evolves and fairs during this next decade should be very interesting. Especially interesting will be to see how radio deals with Dance when/if it grows in popularity....sigh... time will tell...

ok, so CBS FM is still #2...not too shabby, after all is said and done
...and by the way, it's 'fares', not fairs...

I would have to think CBS is doing something right with News Radio 880 and CBS-FM

AM--Flagship for 27-time world champion NY Yankees; personality driven all-news station

FM--Great programming like the A to Z weekends and great personalities like Dan Taylor, bob Shannon, Broadway Bill Lee, etc.

Party was only on for two weeks of the "November" books so in actuality their cume is somewhat near what Pulse had.

Not necessarily. I don't have a breakdown but it could be opposite. Pulse had everything and Party had little to none. Law of averages.

I would have to agree. I'm the biggest WINS fan ever but I like that WCBS-AM is #3 and does equally well as of late.

I'm also glad WOR's cume is on the up and up. Hope they can sustain it, they're much better programmed these days. Local talkers Gambling and Malzberg along with Glenn Beck should beat the Dolans and O'Reilly any day!
