Who will change formats in Pensacola.

WBSR 1450 and at least one Cumulus station

WBSR 1450 needs to flip to Oldies immediately!

If the courts finally give Cumulus control of WTKE 98.1 then someone in P'cola will need to flip to Sports. The obvious solution would be to give Sports to WRRX 106.1. If Cumulus decides to stick with Urban on WRRX then WBSR is the only other option for Sports.

You also have to wonder if WYCL will morph more toward Jack and away from Oldies.

Then there's the disaster of Cumulus' WYOK and WJLQ, but what could they possibly flip to? Country is overdone, CHR/Top-40 flavors have already failed, our non-coms and AMs have Christian formats covered... are they brave enough to take on TK-101 or the Rocket? I doubt it. Am I forgetting a format?

There's got to be a good reason why it's been 10 years since anyone tried Alternative here.

Pensacola needs Triple-A, that would make me happy... but I'm not optimistic.

The courts are unlikely to award WTKE to Cumulus. Remember, Qantum has a contract ahead of Cumulus to buy that station. So far, the courts have ruled in their favor.

Great! Do you think there's any chance Quantam would put WWAV on 98.1? They are currently getting ratings in Pensacola with a signal that shouldn't reach this far. They are beating out local stations here. We need more Jimmy Buffet!

It's possible, but I don't know how likely. It's sports now, they might leave it sports.
