Who will do all Christmas this year in Jacksonville?

Their are some indicator I can see that may point to Jacksonville not only having one but several stations go all Christmas. Here is who I am picking to do the all Christmas and why:

Lite 96.1 (no format flip, but they will do it to do a boost in ratings).

KOOL 100.7 (no format flip, but they could do it to draw in a lot of listners). By the way listen to the station during the next several days and you will hear this promo that has Christmas jingles and the announcer says you could win 2,000 dollars with details coming soon. This is making me want to listen. Could this be turn around of change abound to start for KOOL FM?

Rock 105 (format flip if they do not get a morning show going soon. They could go anything. Heck maybe Cox will take on Lite and put in a format like that or try doing the JACK FM like thing).

Rooster Country 107.3 (format flip in order to prepare for some type of rock format that will boost the Lex & Terry Radio Network).

Good observations Mburg! Frankly, I think Renda has the most to gain going all holiday sound especially for Sunny 94.1 and KOOL 100.7. Where Sunny looses signal, KOOL emerges stronger. I think it's a great way to familiarize the listener with your station. And both stations need promotion BIG TIME.

Considering both stations, Sunny has a greater potential to be a solid performer for Renda. And so if the format needed to be limited to one Renda station, I would favor Sunny - Christmas music goes especially well on easy listening stations. Lite 96.1 should introduce Christmas tunes earlier than they did last year. I don't think they should go total Christmas sound especially if a sister station(s) do the same but they should play enough to keep their core of listeners happy. Last year's numbers showed a distinct erosion for Lite 96.1 in favor of 96.9 who we all know the rest of the story there.

I would doubt Cox Radio would flip any of it's cluster to Christmas tunes mainly because they used it last year like a Trojan horse and it may cause undue adverse reaction even if Cox was not about to flip a station. (Beware big communications companies bearing gifts)

Clear Channel may surprise us all in this. It's rare, I believe, for country stations to go all holiday but they could be counting on Renda's lack of being proactive to take advantage of all of this. Time will tell and it will be very soon.

Correct me if my memory has failed, but 96.9 has always been THE station to do round-the-clock Christmas music, but only Christmas week, or Christmas Eve and Day at least.

Beyond last year's Trojan Horse (I like that one), I can't think of any other Jacksonville station that went ALL Christmas anytime before that.

As for the $2000 promo on Kool 100.7, "that's the Jingle Bell Rock!" It is a contest held over from Arrow 100.7, where a congratulatory note is attached to a rock somewhere in the listening area, and the jocks give cryptic clues as to the rock's location daily until it's found. It's always on public property, no climbing or digging necessary. (Yeah, I looked for it one year, and I still like following the clues.)

Would anyone agree that a WROO flip to Christmas might
be evidence of a CC Hot Talk/Guy Talk format (and L&T) on 107.3?
