Who will flip next

well....92.9 is the lowest rated station in the market....but!!....

94.1 is competeting with newly aquired sister FM100???

98.1 may get tweaked, but i doubt flipped...

but i know entercom feels 'froggy' in other markets, and why not here??? GOOD GOD!! kix is number one with no competition

If 92.9 decides to flip, then I'd see 98.1 mixing in the new rock and possibly tweaking to Active Rock with Drake & Zeke in the morning. I just don't think that Memphis has an audience large enough to support three stations with a rock format.

Not that I'm saying this would probably happen, It's just something I'd like to see.

98.1 seems to be struggling. They are losing listeners. Drake and Zeke are better suited to the afternoon show than mornings. There are so many Mexicans here there will be several salsa stations before long.

92.9 won't do anything until Entercom takes over. Anybody know a date on that? 94.1 will follow. IF there is going to be a change, it would be 98.1 I would guess. And they may sit it out and wait to see what 92.9 does. Then again this is all just a guessing game, so I am probably wrong!

Ahhh, the drama of it all! :-*

I thought they said mid-September, when the sale was first announced. Maybe I misunderstood or maybe Entercom is already in there.

Not yet. It was reported the LMA would start early October, but it's my understanding a petition filed with the FCC by Sacramento radio station owner Ed Stolz has slowed the process of taking over each of the CBS properties they purchased. He claims Entercom is in financial trouble, plus cites their being investigated for payola by New York. In a quick search I found, "(Ed) Stolz has been at odds with Entercom since 1999, when Entercom filed suit against Stolz for backing out of deal to sell KWOD for $25 million. In April, 2002, a California Superior Court ordered Stolz to proceed with the transfer after ruling Entercom had a valid contract. Then again in 2005, the FCC denied a Petition for Reconsideration seeking to overturn the Commission's 2003 decision that denied Stolz's December, 2002 petition that sought to stop the transfer of KWOD-FM/Sacramento to Entercom."
