Who Will Flip to xMas Music First ?

Just wondering who will flip first to all Christmas Music....

WLTW has already announced that they will go 24/7 xMas starting Thanksgiving Day...it will be interested to see if others go as well maybe sooner...

There must be some that already flipped...one station I found that is playing Xmas music now is KOSY 790 and KOSY 106.5 FM Spanish Fort, Utah.

I know this has nothing to do with the thread topic per se, but in a similar vein The Disney Channel started its' nightly Christmas programming tonight.

November 1st.

They showed "The Santa Clause".

The jolly old elf hasn't even made an appearance in front of Macy's yet and the Disney Channel is already programming Christmas movies!

(It's a good thing I LIKE Christmas!)

KOSY(AM) is in Texas and has nothing to do with KOSY-FM's programming.

The city of license is Spanish Fork. The station serves the Salt Lake City metro area. It's owned by Clear Channel.

Atlantachristmas: The other major AC station in town has flipped their HD2 signal to all Christmas. http://www.fm100.com/?nid=11&sid=15297

Just wondering , any hot ac's flipped to Christmas yet. or if any will? I love the variety they have. Especially, when 95.5 PLJ did it. They played the new Chicago christmas cd and i ended up buy it cause i liked it so much. Much different from the AC type christmas flip, (which i like as well) ;D

if you have comcast cable in your areas the sonds of the season station is all christmas now. does anyone know if there are stations in centrial indiana who have or are going to switch yet? ;D

I agree, WPLJ is great. I'd rater hear their regular music though. I need them to carry me through when my station 101 The Rose goes all X-Mas sometime near Nov 20 or so.

Wouldn't it be great this year if NO ONE flipped Xmas? Or at least did it say the middle of November and was finished DECEMBER TWENTY SIXTH?.

But that is how a lot of stations flip. And what is wrong with playing holiday music through and past December 26th? I think it is appropriate for stations to play some holiday music through New Years. I hate it when they go cold turkey.

Yeah and maybe they will get a 2.0 share. ;D

OH od dont, the suits will see that and you'll be hearing deck the halls in JULY!. They would salavate for a two share at this point.

LOL

Just a note, CBS and Clear Channel are going mano a mano with Christmas music in Charlotte, North Carolina. Friends in that market tell me the stations flipped within hours of each other last week.[/Mike]

Both stations are currently back to their regular AC formats. WKQC and WLYT will probably have another "Christmas Preview Weekend" this weekend, and I wouldn't be surprised if by NEXT week they both will be full-time Christmas.

But, you're right... CBS and CC always compete with Christmas music in Charlotte -- granted, with different music and different approaches.

I'm Down in NC (selling our house, LONG story, Lived in Jersey, moved to Raleigh in June, HATED it and moved back last month).

Anyway.. Raleighs's WRSN, Sunny 939, Owned by Clear Channel Made the flip on November 1. Even has the Delilah themed Christmas Broadcasts. Doesn't Sound TOO Bad. Not like Philly's sunny, but DECENT.
