Who will go All-Christmas this year? WROR or WMJX?

BTW the ratings may not have shown it (The right people didn't have the People Meter), but I know a lot of people who liked the XMAS Music on DRC-FM better than WRCH's.

Do you know what the PPM showed last year? WRCH was the highest rated Christmas music station IN THE COUNTRY last year. 17.1 share. No other Christmas station did better. DRC-FM did a great job and I liked their mix, but it wasn't even close.

I'm mostly thinking WBMX isn't flipping because Karson Kennedy and several others in the know have all said "ain't gonna happen." Frankly, I think it'd be a good idea and it's too bad it's not being considered (at least according to the people at CBS I'm talking to.)

Karson Kennedy is not one person. I'm Karson (Tager) & my co-host, her name is Kennedy. She doesn't post on here. Unlike me, she has a life outside of radio. ;D

Well, if people who work there are denying it, I guess it's not going to happen. Still, it seems strange that CBS would let another company have the Christmas advertising all to itself just becuse it no longer has a station running the "right" format to flip. It would be even stranger if WROR didn't flip either and 24/7 Christmas music in Boston were to be limited to an HD3 signal that only a tiny fraction of the market's listeners can even receive.

Maybe WBMX-104.1's on-air staff won't learn about any Christmas flip until it happens.

In retrospect, maybe CBS Radio Boston should have kept WODS-103.3 oldies/classic hits until Novemebr 1st, then drop the airsdtaff, go all-Cbristmas, and flip to Top-40 to mark the start of the new year.

But on the other hand, the Summer ratings book is traditionally the strongest for Top-40/CHR formats, so maybe that's why the decision was made to flip 103.3 to "Amp" in June.

Given the CBS cluster, the only other possibility for a Christmas flip would be WZLX-10.7, but only if they to do it as a stunt and flip to another format after the Holidays (read: a simulcast of WBZ-1030).

And I still think that Clear Channel will take the plunge with WHBA-101.7, given that company's aggressive nature as regards all-Christmas formats.

I still think a FM simulcast of WBZ-AM is still 2to 3 years off. Still predict WROR to go all Xmas before Thanksgiving.101.7 FM going All Xmas, not many will care. If it does , will the "MIke" format return on 12/26?

I really don't think Mike fm will return unless Waaf stops a simulcast. Maybe like keeping Waaf only on 97.7 then mike on 107.3

I think mgpt6 meant 101.7’s version (in presumption it goes all XMas, first):
