Who will go Christmas First?

Will it be "Let's Go Green" 104.7 or "New Lite Sound" at 102.9? Thoughts...

I'm sure New Life 91.9 will go on Black Friday.

New Life 91.9 played Christmas music yesterday. They wanted to slap Halloween in the face with baby Jesus.

If either one of these stations play the Carpenters they are bigger hypocrites than they were a year ago. Their recent format tweaks have distanced themselves even farther away from the Carpenters era. Don't get me wrong...I love the golden-throat of Karen Carpenter and there has never been another's voice like hers. But, it's hypocritical to parade her songs for about 2 months and throw her back on the shelf for the other 10. Makes me want to puke....I think more of them if they'd play Led Zeppelin's "Away in a Manger".

K 104.7 should go Christmas first then when they flip back K shouldn't try to sound to upbeat. It hasn't helpped the ratings with the tweak they recently had.

Lite 102.9 started Christmas today.

R.I.P. Lite 102.9 (2011) and all the memories of the "fresh new music."
It was a great format still in the making, that won't be seen again for almost 2 more months. :'(
What a way to upset MANY loyal listeners.

 It's way too early for ANY Christmas music...
next time wait til like December 21, and even then why not try 50/50 Hot AC & Christmas mix.

IMO, It is completely unnecessary to play any Christmas music before Thanksgiving.
Black Friday is the official start of the Christmas season!! ;D

Hopefully no others go all-Christmas this early, that way we can all still have our Hot AC music that we all love. (104.7 & 107.9)

Nope, not just yet. It's a Christmas Preview Weekend. They will go all-Christmas the Friday before Thanksgiving

Yup here is a post on their Facebook:
"a majority of our listeners told us they wanted to hear all-Christmas weekends we'll be back to our regular mix on Monday."

I think thats not the full story, they just wanted to be first at playing the format... :D

Why do we need to "preview" music that will be playing non-stop for a whole month starting the Friday before Thanksgiving? I used to love Christmas music and everything Christmas, but the way its being pushed earlier and earlier every year I am really starting to resent it.

I liked the way it used to be done, a Christmas song or two an hour in the beginning gradually increasing as Christmas day got closer. This wall to wall Holly Jolly is overkill but I guess somebody likes it.

Long live WRBK!

Agreed.. Long live 90.3 W-RBK. Question.. Any way a transmitter could be added to feed this station to my area {Eastern edge of charlotte}? Or am I forced to play my mp3's when I drive...

A translator on a different frequency is possible, that is if there is a frequency left!
