Who will go to Christmas first?

Though it's still early, I'm already starting to wonder who will go to Christmas first, whether it be Fresh 100 or Today's 105.1. Which station do you think will switch to Christmas first and what day do you think they will switch?

I say November 2nd Fresh 100.3 will do it. Clear Channel does it to Oldies 933 every 1st weekend in November so I won't be suprised if they did.

There's been a few of their Hot ACs that have played christmas tunes in other markets. They usually pick and oldies or AC station 1st if they have one in the market. If not then they'll pick the Hot AC they own in the market. They have 3 Hot AC signals 200 miles from me that plays it every year MIX 94.5 Lexington,KY Mix 98.9 Youngstown, Ohio and Mix 97.3 Wheeling, WVA.

Fresh 100.3 is trying to go in a younger Direction now so i doubt they go All christmas
They did it last year, when they seemed to be going younger than now, so I know they'll do it this year. I think 105.1 went first last year, probably in early November.

None of those three stations are Hot AC any longer. Clear Channel has instituted the Premium Choice AC playlist on all three.

Truthfully, I do not consider WNIC Hot AC at all. They sound like a bright mainstream AC now. Only difference between them and 105.1 now is that WMGC plays '70s music and a sprinkling of Elton John, Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, etc. The only time WNIC plays actual Hot AC is during the Hot AC version of AT40 on Sunday nights.

That said, WDFM Defiance, OH, which is Clear Channel owned and Hot AC, does go Christmas every year.

Here in Albany, WTRY was only in like 6th or 7th place with Christmas last year (then again, IIRC they went with Christmas Oldies and have a weaker signal) while WYJB (B95 FM) was second place with a mainstream Christmas format. I wonder if Clear Channel in Albany might flip WRVE instead of WTRY this year, due to the stronger signal?

As for Detroit, I wonder if Cumulus could flip 93.1 WDRQ to Christmas and then launch WJR-FM or country after Christmas :) What about WOMC going Christmas? Last year I think I suggested WOMC and WMGC for Christmas stations after the WNIC flip/tweak...

105.1 went all christmas on November 1st last year

Didn't they do something ridiculous like go a few days before Halloween last year? Could've sworn I remember reading they flipped to "Christmas 105.1" in late October.

Looks like people are already trolling the MGC and NIC Facebook pages asking about Christmas music...
