Who will hire Bulger first?

M

Mark Williams

Guest
Hard to find a better fit for Boston radio's drive to appeal to the most base, lowest and purient intersts!(especially that of my former employer, WRKO, once a proud affiliation of mine that I now hide on my resume) Will there be a bidding war between Boston and Providence for the title? Stay tuned!

I think If Jimmy is convicted of the crimes he is accused of, that would take him to a higher level of felon than WRKO usually hires, so he would have to be made a Manager.

Mark:

By any chance.....are you the same Mark Williams who once hosted an overnight talk show called "The Midnight Wind" on Fall River's 1480-WSAR.?

This would have been sometime around the time period 1979 or 1980.....around the same time that folks like Steve Kass, Henry Carreiro, Bill Silvia, and Moe Lauzier were also in the employ of 1480 WSAR.

If I remember correctly, "The Midnight Wind" came on at midnight.....immediately following "The CBS Radio Mystery Theatre", hosted by E. G. Marshall.

Of all the off-beat and odd-ball things I've heard on talk radio in these many years....one that I remember oh so very well was an elderly man who used to call "The Midnight Wind" whom you called "Bananas & Toast". I think it may have had something to do with his choice of breakfast foods... LOL

Yes....I was something of an insomniac in those times... ;)

Bulger is 81 years old, facing federal charges worth roughly 50 years in prison and is facing the death penalty in two states. Moreover, he has pi**ed off enough people that even if he did get out, his life wouldn't be worth squat on the street. He's...how shall I put this?...not going to be available to do a talk show.

I just hope he slips up and somehow implicates his corrupt midget brother. He did more harm (with the exception of one Boston neighborhood) to the state of Massachusetts than big brother, Whitey ever did.

I suppose if Buddy Cianci is making it big on the radio in Providence, why wouldn't Whitey strike ratings gold in Boston?
