Since Nielsen handles the all important ratings and there isn't any comptition any more since arbitron stopped TV years ago, does anyone oversee this?
I mean Nielsen is a private company does the FCC or any government agency audit and make sure their ratings are accurate.
Nielsen seems to have a lot of power in terms of defining TV markets, setting rating standards and how the ratings will be calculated.
