Who Will Replace David Letterman??

Ferguson isn't a dope. If he doesn't get the job, CBS will probably owe him money. John Stewart is also under contract to CBS. They've paid him for years to do nothing.

All three candidates --including Colbert-- would have to change their style and what would happen if native son (NYC) Seinfeld ever threw his hat in the ring?

The reason I don't think it will be Colbert is all networks are afraid of the right. Obviously Stewart is in the same boat. Ferguson doesn't have that problem.

What about Tom Bergeron?

He has a very quick with and to some degree the same broadcasting track Johnny Carson followed - game show host. Carson, "Who Do You Trust" and currently Bergeron's "Dancing with the Stars" among others. Bergeron is a Haverhill native and former "BZ radio personality. At times his wit reminds me of the late, great Jess Cain.
