Who will take over for Fitz on The Bull?

Does anyone have thoughts on who could replace Fitz on The Bull after the new year?

After iHeartRadio laid off a number of good talent this year, Hubbard has a pretty big application pool.

Depending on whether they plan on building a show from scratch or bringing one in from another market, they have some local options:

Candy Harper
Tony Russell
Deanna Lee

Merry Christmas to everyone.

Bobby Bones. Seattle is one of just a handful of markets where he doesn't have an affiliate.

One possible problem is that Bobby is an iHeart talent. KNUC is owned by Hubbard.

However, Hubbard's Brooke & Jeffrey Show is syndicated by iHeart's Premiere Radio Network, and they also syndicate Bobby. So perhaps Hubbard gets some benefit from Premiere. I see that Portland's The Bull recently added Bones, and they're owned by Alpha.

Bobby Bones would be possible if they went the syndicated route. I feel with The Wolf local in the morning; they would want to keep their morning show local as well.

If we are taking syndication, could they bring back Tim Leary? Tim Leary (previous, before Fitz) took over mornings in Palm Beach, Florida. They could put him back on the air in Seattle.

Hubbard is using Jay Kruz to host afternoons on Warm 1069.

They would be wise to look into Tony Russell. He's a great morning show personality, and also has the ability to put together a show at the level of Fitz. We will see what happens over the coming weeks.

Temporarily, KNUC will have artists filling in as guest hosts. Country Aircheck reported this today:

Following last month’s departure of the Fitz in the Morning show at Hubbard KNUC/Seattle, PD Scott Mahalick has unveiled a series of guest hosts to handle the daypart for the next two weeks. Big & Rich kicked things off this morning (1/4) and will be followed by Kenny Chesney (1/5), Blake Shelton (1/6), Little Big Town (1/7) and Scotty McCreery (1/8). Scheduled for next week: Florida Georgia Line (1/11), Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan (1/12), Sheryl Crow (1/13), Darius Rucker (1/14) and Uncle Kracker (1/15). Mahalick is still looking for a permanent replacement in mornings.
