WHO WOULD REPLACE SHARON?

I realize it's only been a week but it is probably something being discussed already since programming does go on.Would Christine Fox move full time to mornings?Would this be a chance for Erica Kay to return to Fun 107?Any ideas?

Both would be logical and good choices. Fun 107 isn't known for hiring outsiders or people from way out of the market. In fact they're pretty much staffed by people who left the station or went part time, then came back. Christine used to be morning co-host. Was it her decision to go part time? Erica is pregnant but if she isn't planning on an extended absence after having the baby this would be a good opportunity to get back to the area. I don't think legally a station can use an upcoming period of absence like pregnancy as a reason not to hire though. The job market is such though that even a small market station would attract more applicants from other areas for the job than they normally would.

Erica kept talking about wanting to move back. But do they want her? Is she available? Will the move split up the family? Will her boyfriend/husband come along. Sounds like lots of issues to be worked out.

The way the station she took a job at was described it sounded like she was settlin'. A relocation back could be an issue though with a boyfriend in Florida. I think they should give it a little time before replacing Sharon anyway out of respect since listeners obviously thought a lot of her, but sooner or later it has to happen.
