Who Would You Ban From TV?

Hmm let's see..

Oprah,..for the life of me, I do not know what people see in this woman

Barbara Walters..can someone please tell me why someone with a speech impediment is on National TV?

Billy Mays..do you hafta ask why?

Ann Coulter..really, we shouldnt exploit the mentally ill..

Glenn Beck..total phony

Ellen DeGeneres...unfunny, and downright annoying

Fred & Shirley Phelps and anyone associated with their church.

When it gets to a point when a local TV or radio station won't even bother to cover a funeral unless the Phelps are there to protest or when they do cover a funeral they give those nuts more airtime than the deceased's loved ones...either way then its a problem.

All car commercials.
All commercials featuring lawyers.
All male enhancement drugs (especially the ones featuring "Bob").
All reality shows.
Hulk Hogan
George Foreman
Tyra Banks
Let me join the "get rid of Billy Mays" bandwagon.

Rhere's so much crappe (and to think we're paying for it). I would (if I could) get rid of all religious shows that solicit money tokeep up the lifestyle of the "slick talker." All shopping channels would go.
And most reality shows don't dipect the real world out there. Has ABC, in their wife swap show, swapped spouces from the barrio and the hood? Maybe between a Jew and a Muslim? If so congrats.

In place I would like to see a Government channel where our natural wonders can be highlighted/featured tips on energy conservation provided such as:
1. For every mph beyond 55 one loses about 1-2% of energy. Maybe do some real world tests to show the differences in mpg with respect to mph.
2. That the ave American driver loses, on average, approximately $180 a year due to failing to check (and fill) their tires once a month. (if you have a newer vehicle with tire pressure sensors, many of those sensors are not that sensitive).
3. Shopping car pools with the neighbors.
Maybe shows that teach people some basic life skills that are lacking such as gardening, canning, the need to plan/budget and to avoid impulse purchases.
It'll never happen.. Because i know i'm in the very minority on this.

They can throw everyone off MTV the way they used to do on Remote Control.

That's hillarious. It's a great way to put MTV out of its misery.

My additions:

Ann Curry
Diane Sawyer
Wolf Blitzer
Anyone else from CNN except Anderson Cooper and Chrisitan Amanpour
Karl Rove (what was Fox News thinking????)
Brangelina
TomKat
Anyone who reports about said 2 couples above.
Paula Abdul (I'll take Simon any day over her)
Tyra Banks
MY-TV
....about 90% of my local market news on-air "talent"

More people to add to the "ban" list...

Jeff Zucker (he's the sole reason why NBC's dying)
Glenn Beck
Sarah Palin
Spiedi (Spencer and Heidi (Montag) Pratt)
Tila Tequila
Billy Bush (no wonder why Nancy O'Dell quit Access Hollywood!)
John Cena (the real reason why WWE's gone PG)
Kanye West (who should've been banned from TV for life after ruining Taylor Swift's big VMA moment)
Lady Gaga
Jon Gosselin
Ted Sadler (yes, the Mattress Ranch guy)
Brooke Hogan
Justin Bieber
Those Geico commercials with the stack of money and eyes

Allow me to add to that list, "Pants on the Ground" guy from "American Idol"!

Household cleaning product commercials that make women look like idiots

Beer commercials that make men look like idiots

Programs on the History Channel that use what looks like science fiction and call it potential fact. This includes "The Rapture", Nostradomas, and 2012 scenarios.

Endless programs about "Bigfoot" and UFO's on TLC, Discovery, and the History Channel.

"Sacreligious" interviews with players and coaches who give God credit for helping them in winning a game.

Athletes apologizing for the dumb crap they did.

THe Cincinnati Bengals playing the Jets, the Eagles, or the Rams. The color combination in nauseating. The Bengals should be banned until they get new uniforms

Forgot the Bears wearing orange jerseys. That is soooooo not "Da Bears". Might as well wear the old White Sox uniforms with shorts.

Joe Girardi without a hat on.

The Colts----------borrrring

The standard " We'll be back next year" speech

The monochrome Seahawks uniform

Talking about Philly fans like they was monsters------ya gotts to stop or else

Playing "New York, New York" when panning in on Yankee Stadium. The city does have another team too.

Sportscasters giggling when telling about a player being made to shave off his beard by some dumb coach or owner.

Law and Order SVU when it starts blurring the line between the perps mental issues and the cops mental issues. I'm sick of Elliot Stabler being introspective

But it made for a cute contest on 98.1 Cat Country in Providence. When you hear Kayne interrupt a Taylor Swift Song be the correct caller and win a prize.

C'mon now. Many of us didn't even know who Taylor Swift was until Kanye West made that fateful remark. She got a TON of publicity out of Kanye's ill-fated remarks.

I absolutely DETEST those stupid one-word names for celebrity couples! Do they not have enough time (or newsprint or webspace) to say (or type) both names?

Almost all of the above, plus Sheryl Crow. Can't. Stand. Her. She would appear at the opening of an envelope and has already been booked on every televised awards show that is scheduled between now and 2035.
