Whole House FM Transmitter

has anyone had any experience with the Whole House FM Transmitter? http://www.wholehousefmtransmitter.com/

most people seem to love it, but the manufacturers seem to dance around if it is FCC legally certified from what i'm reading about it. any thoughts or experiences with it? it looks like a nice unit.

The Whole House FM Transmitter would be good if it' was the last transmiiter on earth, than God it's not! It only has a few frequencies available. You would be better off with a Ramsey 25b.

Now that I've "figured out" what to do to it to make it do what I wanted, I'm pretty happy with the one from C. Crane.

Mine worked about 1 year. Now, it sounds good for 5-10 minutes, then drops modulation to 1/2 of 1 per cent.
I should have sent it back for repair, but just chalked it up to my luck as a troubleshooter to get the one with the
warranty timer. I have not replaced it since it broke in summer of 2006, but have concentrated on my pt 15 AM.

I just ordered a C. Crane FM transmitter because I did not look forward to recharging 2 AAA batteries every 8 hours for THE REST OF MY LIFE. It should be coming in the mail soon....
